A Gift from My Wedding to Yours

As you may or may not already know, back in June 2022, I had the pleasure of getting married myself! When planning my wedding, there was one task that boggled my mind more than any other - organising the table plan.

Questions like “Who should sit next to who?”, “How many people are sitting on that table?”, and “Who’s got dietary needs?” filled my thoughts.

I found myself scribbling on pieces of paper, changing my mind, and starting over multiple times. That’s when I had an idea - why not create a formula that I could access on my phone, iPad, or laptop to make this process easier?

Seating plan chart with columns for Head Table and ten guest tables, and rows for guest names. The chart includes a total guest count at the bottom.

With this formula, I could effortlessly track each table’s name, add everyone’s names, and keep tabs on the number of people at each table. I even created a color key to manage dietary requirements. This invaluable tool allowed me to seamlessly communicate seating arrangements with the venue stylist and caterers, ensuring a smooth and stress-free wedding day.
