Just Us Three: Sarah & Matt’s Gretna Green Elopement

Sarah and Matt’s wedding guest list was pretty exclusive.

Sarah.
Matt.
And Darcie 🐾

They chose to elope to the Famous Blacksmiths Shop at Gretna Green, getting married in the Original Marriage Room before continuing their little road trip together.

No huge wedding party. No big production.

Just a really personal wedding, done completely their way.

Simple Flowers. Strong Design.

Sarah’s flowers needed to make an impact without fighting for attention.

Her dress and Art Deco headband already brought plenty of detail, so we deliberately kept the flowers simple — ivory and white paired with a rich dusky pink inspired by her nail colour.

Rather than throwing loads of flower varieties into the mix, I focused on statement orchids and calla lilies.

Fewer varieties. Stronger shapes. Proper impact.

The bouquet was finished with soft trailing greenery and ivory ribbon, with the dusky pink looking gorgeous alongside Matt’s navy suit.

Made For Their Wedding Adventure

This wasn’t a case of collecting the flowers and driving straight to the venue.

Sarah and Matt live in Norwich, and their wedding involved a proper road trip — including a castle stay before heading to Gretna Green and another stop afterwards.

So the bouquet was designed with the journey in mind, using a partially flat-back shape that kept the detail towards the front while making it easier to protect as they travelled.

Everything was delivered in my luxury packaging, ready to come along for the adventure.

And judging by Sarah’s review, those boxes definitely earned their keep 😂

Obviously, Darcie Needed Flowers Too

If your wedding has three guests and one of them has four legs, she absolutely needs to look the part.

Darcie’s floral collar was kept lightweight and comfortable, with a smaller corsage-style arrangement rather than covering her in flowers.

It coordinated with Sarah’s bouquet and Matt’s buttonhole without being oversized or impractical.

Because looking fabulous is important.

Being able to actually enjoy your day is more important 🐾
